Community Shield 2010: No more Blue Man Group!

Era el momento para demostrar que habíamos mejorado a la ultima temporada y que podemos ser campeones en este torneo. El rival era el del siempre: El Chelsea. Para ganarle a un rival de este nivel había que hacer un partido casi perfecto y me alegra decir que estuvimos al nivel de las expectativas.

Desde el principio del juego, el Manchester le dio la posesión del balón al Chelsea pero no lo dejaba atravesar la defensa. Me sorprendió ver a O'Shea en vez de Rafael en el once inicial. Aparte de unos cuantas jugadas de nuestro equipo, el primer tiempo no tuvo muchas jugadas de peligro hasta que Rooney le dio a Valencia un pase espectacular para el 1 a 0.

Después, en el segundo tiempo, Ferguson saco a Park, Owen y Rooney y puso a Berbatov, Nani y Hernandez. Ahora, nuestro equipo buscaba ampliar la diferencia y la encontramos con un gol de mucha suerte de Javier Hernandez, haciendo el 2 a 0.

En ese momento, el Chelsea se nos vino encima y Drogba hizo su aparición desde el banquillo. Los blues tuvieron unos minutos de superioridad muy notoria pero ahí estuvo Van der Sar para detener los tiros rivales. No todas las oportunidades fueron detenidas y Kalou anoto el gol del descuento.

Ya en los últimos minutos de partido, el Manchester tomo control del balón hasta que Berbatov termino el partido con el hermoso gol del 3 a 1 final.

En mi opinión, el United hizo lo que tenia que hacer para ganarle al Chelsea: Se cerro bien atrás y termino el partido con las tres oportunidades que tuvieron. El mejor en este partido fue sin duda Paul Scholes, quien sigue demostrando a pesar de su edad que todavía puede conducir al equipo y defender sin ningún problema.

En general, un gran juego de nuestro equipo y un justo ganador de esta competencia, esperemos que solo sea el principio. ¡Felicidades, Campeones!

It was the time to show that we had improved since the last season and show the fact that we can be champions in this tournament. The rival was the usual one: The Chelsea. To defeat a rival of this level you have to make a almost perfect match and I'm happy to say that we were on the level of the expectations.

Since the begginning of the match, Manchester gave Chelsea the ball possesion but didn't let them go through the defense. I was surprised to see O'Shea instead of Rafael in the starting XI. Besides of some plays of our team, the first half didn't have many dangerous plays until Rooney gave Valencia an spectacular pass for the 1 to 0.

Afterwards, in the second half, Ferguson substitute Park, Owen and Rooney for Berbatov, Nani and Hernandez. Now our team was looking to make the difference larger and we found it with Javier Hernandez's lucky goal, making the 2 to 0.

In that moment, the Chelsea was all over us and Drogba appear from the bench. The blues had a few minutes of very notorious superiority but there was Van der Sar to stop the rival's shots. Not all the shots were stopped and Kalou scored the discount goal.

In the last minutes, the Manchester took control of the ball until Berbatov ended the game with a beautiful goal for the 3 to 1.

In my opinion, the United did what they had to do to defeat Chelsea: They defended themselves very good and finished the chances that they had to score. The best player in this match was without a doubt Paul Scholes, who keeps proving despite his age that he can still drive the team and defend without any trouble.

Overrall, a great game of our team and we're a fair winner of this competition, let's hope this is just the begginning. Congrats, Champions!
